Our Fall conference schedule continues this week! All students will be released at 1:40pm on Thursday and Friday, November 21st and 22nd.
Moreland's annual Second Harvest Food Drive will be held through Wednesday, November 20. You CAN make a difference! Please send your donations of nutritious, non-perishable canned or boxed food (soup, chili, tuna, vegetables, fruit, etc.) to the school office. Thanks for your support!
Our Annual Dads and Dudes on Duty event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13th! This is a day designed especially for dads, uncles, big brothers, grandfathers, etc. here at EDS. The morning begins with coffee and treats followed by a fun morning in your children’s classrooms. We have even planned a special STEAM activity for middle school dads at break. Plan ahead to spend your morning with us from 8:15-10:00 am (or as long as you can stay!)
On Saturday, November 16th, EDS throws its biggest party of the year, our annual Walk-A-Thon. This year the theme is “Out of This World”. You will want to be part of this fun event with prizes, games, and activities for everyone! Please click on the headline for more information. See you there!
Save the date for the first ever Ukulele and Percussion Jam Fest on Friday, November 8th from 6:30-7:30pm in the EDS MU room. The Jam Fest is a family event, so everyone is welcome - bring ukes, drums, shakers, voices, whatever you like! There is no admission charge for the event.
All students will be released at 1:40pm on Thursday, October 31st. Friday is a Staff Development Day, and there will be no school. We hope all of our Husky families have a relaxing three-day weekend.
EDS and Clothes Bin have partnered to collect and recycle old clothing, shoes and textiles. Just place the items in the green recycling bin in our parking lots (one is in the front lot, and one in the back lot). Every pound of recycled items supports our school. As you clean out the old and bring in the new, you can help the environment and EDS too!
All parents who did not complete data confirmation in the Aeries Parent Portal received a yellow packet of forms last week. Please complete the packet and return it to the office as soon as possible. Help us to keep your child's information up-to-date for their safety. Thank you!
Easterbrook Discovery School (EDS) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) uses MemberHub to bring you into our school community and keep you involved and engaged with what is happening. Within our MemberHub site, you will find newsletters, sign up sheets, shared calendar events, files, photos, reminders, and much more all in one place!
We still need lots of volunteers for our first Family Work Day for the year! We will be doing various projects in the Woods including weeding and pruning, painting our shed and pump house, etc. We will also be setting up our STEAM Lab for the year. Families are encouraged to volunteer together. Middle School students can earn their required Community Service hours, but must be accompanied by a volunteer parent. To volunteer, please click on the headline above.
