Outdoor Classroom

Moreland Woods Projects (updates coming soon!)

Several projects have been completed, making the outdoor classroom at EDS even better!

Parent volunteer, Lars Teppo, and the EDS STEAM classes worked to control algae in the pond by adding aeration and increased weekly maintenance, and the stream to the pond is now functional. With funds from MEF and the Easterbrook PTO, we installed two custom, stainless steel sinks, and a free standing water fountain/bottle filler next to the large shed. Shelves were also added inside the large shed for organization by our wonderful Woods Team volunteers.  Built by former EDS students, Sam Eaton, Catlin Hall & Caroline Alldridge, an interactive music board & little library are now available for students visiting the outdoor classroom.  We also added WiFi throughout the woods!
